The man on the left is a recent addition to the center. I recognized him from the photos I took at the temple during Ekadasi. Shahdev told me his four children all informed this man they couldn’t afford to feed or house him any more. When Shahdev asked the oldest son to sign a waiver so his father could live at the center, the son refused. This man comes to the center first thing in the morning to have tea, have company, and get fed all day. They also allow him a place to nap. Since the center is full, he would sleep in the yoga building, but the son won’t sign the waiver. Last I heard, Shahdev was looking into whether or not the man was considered able to sign for himself.
